Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum

Where I got it: I got this from my local Caci Clinic when I went in for my first skincare consultation and signed up to their Reformaskin treatment plan (see my original post here). This little bottle costs me $180 which I think is the most expensive serum I have ever bought.

What I got: This is a 30ml bottle of the Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum. Fast-acting treatment featuring Resilient-C Complex rapidly boosts radiance and reverses visible signs of environmental damage. This powerful serum helps to improve brightness, clarity and radiance.

How I find it: I was recommended to use this once a day during the day after cleansing and toning. One full pump is all I need for the entire face. I would use this serum during the day and the Rapid Collagen Infusion at night. This serum is a semi-translucent gel serum that glides onto the skin easily and is absorbed quickly without leaving any film or greasiness. It doesn’t affect the skin’s finish, so it’s not either dewy or mattifying. Taking into account that this is a “radiance boosting serum”, it does not contain light-reflecting particles to imitate glowing skin. I let it sit for at least a minute before I apply moisturiser on top.

Overall: I have finally used this serum up after 4 months of constant use. I use this only in the morning and the Collagen Infusion one at night. This radiance serum has an almost gel-lotion texture and feels lightweight on the skin. It hydrates my skin and it doesn’t irritate it. I was expecting an illuminating effect on the skin as you would usually find in a radiance or illuminating serum, but there is none of that. After finishing the bottle, I do see my skin being brighter and less dull, but I cannot really be sure if this is the only product that made a difference. During these 3 months, I have used other products alongside and also my facials and microdermabrasion. However, once this bottle is finished, I won’t repurchase to see how my skin goes.
