Week 5 – My Reformaskin journey with Caci Clinic

Not much of an update this week. I’ve had a rather normal week in regards to my skin. I haven’t changed up my skincare routine much (trying out the Paula’s Choice Pore refining toner) and there is just constantly a few bumps and a breakout on my chin and jaw area. The weird bumps around for hairline and temple area I mentioned in the last post are now gone and I think they were food-related.

I went in for another microdermabrasion today and tomorrow I will be attending my big sister’s wedding as the Matron of Honour (soooo happy for her). Here are some photos after my third microdermabrasion.

This time round, I think the strength of the microderm was kicked up a notch slightly. I found my fist clenching and toes pointing whenever she runs the machine against the outer edges of my face and around my eye area. Goodness, I was so close to asking her to turn it down a little bit. However, there was minimal redness afterwards and I was quite surprised to feel my skin quite smooth where I don’t have existing bumps.

Every time after the treatment, she will put a moisturiser with SPF on my face which feels super oily and thick and I had to wipe it off with tissues. This time, I give my skin a bit of time to absorb it in and just use a tissue to press instead of wipe. I figured that my skin needed a bit of moisture and nourishment after the treatment so I gave it some time to absorb.

One thing I really need to remember next time is to bring my brow pencil to fill in my brows afterwards because all the cleansing and toning products she used on my face has removed pretty much all of my brow liner. I thought my eyeliner was also smudged, but it didn’t (I am testing the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner out and so far it is doing great).

I will be doing my first Collagen Induction treatment next week and I am a little nervous and excited. I don’t know how my skin will react to it, is it painful, will I look swollen after the treatment, will I see visible results? All these questions keep popping up in my head!
