NYX Dark Circle Concealer Correcteur

Where I got it: I got this from my local Farmers for $14.45. NYX came to Farmers earlier this year and they offer some affordable makeup products.

What I got: This is the NYX Dark Circle Concealer Correcteur in DCC 02 Light/Pale. Comes in 3 other shades. A serious solution for one of beauty’s most challenging problems! No fancy names just a product that can be counted on to do the job. The product glides on without looking thick or obvious. The subtle hint of orange counteracts the appearance of dark circles while natural skin-toned pigments work in unison to provide the ultimate coverage.

How I find it: I like to prep my eye area with a good eye cream, let that settle in and then apply the corrector with my index finger. I tap the product in without blending in too sheer. A salmon-tone corrector is great for dark circles that has a blue undertone. Concealer is then applied on top of the corrector. I personally prefer to apply concealer to only where I have darkness instead of the upside-down triangle and brighten the whole area.

Overall: I quite like the texture of this corrector, it is not too dry and not too creamy so that it sits in the under the concealer or foundation quite well without moving too much and without getting too cakey. The shade is quite good for my skin tone and it actually looks quite identical to the Bobbi Brown Corrector I recently bought ($55!). The Bobbi Brown is slightly pinker, but in terms of coverage and texture, they are really similar.
