Where I got it: I got this from my local Life Pharmacy Clarins counter for $40.00. They were having a gift with purchase offer as well as a draw for a gift basket if you buy 3 or more products (which I did). I think it was about a year ago where I was invited to a Clarins launch that I got to use a few of their skincare and makeup products. I then pretty much fell in love with the brand.
What I got: This is the Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector in shade 06 Rosewood. Moisturizes, plumps and illuminates lips leaving subtle, natural-looking color and shine. 4 hours* of non-stop hydration—for full, plump, beautifully contoured lips. Effective plant ingredients nourish, comfort and protect. Comes in a total of 6 shades.
How I find it: This tinted lip balm has the same scent as the instant lip perfector and it gives a nice sheer wash of colour and a natural looking gloss. It moisturises the lips without feeling thick of sticky. I chose this Rosewood shade because it is really close to my natural lip colour but with a hint of rosy pink. I don’t need to use a separate lip balm under this or a lip gloss for everyday wear. If I want a more glossier finish, I would either use their Comfort Lip Oil or use the lip oil on top of this.
Overall: Love this shade, the formula, the texture and finish. I would love to try all the other shades too but at $40 each, they are a bit expensive for tinted lip balms. They do look nice and sophisticated with the slim packaging. It certainly doesn’t feel or look cheap, but if it was a little bit more affordable, I would buy a few more.
