Primera Watery Overnight Mask

Where I got it: I got this from a friend of mine who stocks these direct from Korea as a little side business. This is the first time I’ve heard of this brand. I got this from her for $49.00.

What I got: This is a 50ml tube of the Primera Watery Overnight Mask. The overnight mask makes skin smooth and bright as having a good night sleep. Alpine berry sprout extract provides rich hydration and natural mineral water supports energy recharging of the skin

  • Alpine strawberries growing wild in the highlands feature strong vitality that enables them to bud even in cold and barren environment. The sprout extracts of alpine strawberries supply rich moisture full of vitality for radiance and moisturisation.
  • Natural mineral water effectively replenishes the skin with energy, while papaya extracts activate the antioxidants to smooth and brighten dull and rough skin.
  • Watery Coating System deeply moisturizes the skin and forms a moisture barrier to retain moisture.
  • It takes care of your skin while you are asleep for the healthier condition of skin the next day.

How I find it: This mask has a rather thick gel-cream texture that feels nourishing yet not sticky on the skin. It doesn’t get absorbed instantly but it leaves a very comfortable layer on the skin that is velvety to the touch almost petal-like. The tub is filled to the rim and you only need a little to cover the entire face. I was expecting a cooling gel texture but it feels more like a cream on the skin that feeling soothing without the intense cooling effect which can be a bit unwanted during winter nights (shivers). I like to apply this in place of my moisturiser or as an additional product right before I go to bed.

Overall: I have used a number of different sleeping masks before and from my experience as someone who is prone to blemishes and blackheads, I often find many sleeping masks extremely sticky and greasy on the skin, like it never absorbs, even in winter. This sleeping mask however has a really lovely texture that glides onto the skin easily without leaving a really thick film that can get your face stuck on the pillowcase, but it leaves a soft and petal-like feel on the skin. If provides amazing hydration overnight, I don’t even need to use a moisturiser underneath this. A thin layer is enough and you apply a bit more on drier areas. I love using this even on the back of my hand or on my elbows, etc. I also use this as a priming moisturiser during winter to ensure my foundation and concealer doesn’t get caught in dry patches and lines.
