Clarins Multi-Active Eye

Where I got it: When I first saw this on ClarinsNZ Instagram, I was really interested. I am already using a few Clarins’ skincare products including the Multi-Active day and night cream, body lotion and some of their makeup and honestly, their products are really good. I was lucky enough to be sent this as a press sample. This is RRP $90 from all Clarins counters.

What I got: This is the Clarins Multi-Active Eye creamClarins’ must-have formula keeps eyes looking younger, fresher, brighter by visibly minimising first lines and signs of fatigue—including dark circles and puffiness. It’s refreshing, cream-gel texture instantly soothes eye contours. An ultra-cold, cryo-metallic application tip enhances drainage so eyes appear instantly luminous and more youthful-looking.

How I find it: Initially, when I saw the picture of the applicator, I was quite interested. I have always been into cooling applicators for eye creams or eye gels as they assist with depuffing and just gives you a general pleasant application experience. I used to use the Estee Lauder Idealist Cooling Eye Illuminator which also has a nice cooling applicator but they seem to have discontinued the product. This one by Clarins here, however, is slightly different. The back of the metal tip is part of the plastic where the product comes out when you squeeze the tube. So I dot the eye cream onto my eye area with my fingertips, then I use the cooling metal tip to gently massage and work the product in. The immediate cooling sensation is really soothing and depuffing.

Overall: I love the texture of this eye cream and how lightweight it is. The applicator tip is really cooling and feels really refreshing on the skin to really wake me up in the morning! The eye cream has a bit of iridescent to it, but it is really subtle. After at least 4 weeks of use, this eye cream did not cause any skin irritations, milia or white head build up around the area. It hydrates my eye area lightly without feeling heavy or oily.
