Where I got it: If you follow or subscribe to Serein Wu’s YouTube channel you would have watched at least one of her rave review videos of the Leaders Coconut Water Gel sheet masks. Serein is a very down to earth, honest and pleasant beauty guru (she has amazing skin by the way). So after hearing what she has to say about these masks (her fav sheet masks), I had to try them! They were not available in stores in New Zealand nor did the Leaders website ship to NZ, I had to get them from eBay. For some reason, from the same seller, the prices for these masks are somewhat different. The AC & Pore Control was USD$42.56 for 5 sheets and the Volume & Glow was USD$28.13.
What I got: I got 2 packs of sheet masks from the Leaders brand. These are the Leaders Insolution Coconut Water Gel Masks in AC & Pore Control and Volume & Glow masks. Also comes in Luminous and Aqautoning. Premium bio-cellulose mask with naturally fermented coconut sheet. The AC & Pore Care contains Witch Hazel Water and Eucalyptus Leaf extract. The Volume & Glow contains Phytosqualane.
How I find it: After cleansing, I cut open a packet and pulled out the mask. There is heaps of serum in the packet and on the mask but it does not drip from the mask sheet itself. So the mask sheet is sandwiched between two plastic backing sheets. So you peel off one of them then stick the mask onto your face (at least try to..). After the mask is kind of on your face, peel off the other backing sheet. This part is the hardest because the mask sheet itself is really thin and the abundance of the essence.
Overall: The masks are really hydrating and comfortable to use. The coconut-gel mask sheet has a very interesting texture, almost like a gel fabric. tIt holds onto the essence without letting it drip, and my skin absorbs the product instead of evaporating away. After about 20 minutes when I remove it, the sheet has partially dried up, therefore I would not recommend leaving this on for longer than it has recommended. I don’t really notice the difference between the 2 mask types, they both seem to hydrate and brighten my skin, plumps up my face and my makeup goes on smoothly. I don’t have many breakouts to really see if the AC & Pore Care mask did a big difference on my breakouts, but it certainly did not cause any! As for pore care, I still prefer my clay masks and peel-off masks for cleaning my pores, but these certainly help with hydrating the skin to tighten the pores.
