Paula’s Choice Resist 10% Niacinamide Booster

Where I got it: I ordered this on the Paula’s Choice (AU) website on 3/8/16 and it arrived on 9/8/16. Pretty speedy delivery. I have never had any delivery issues with ordering from Paula’s Choice. They are always well packaged and delivered quickly. I have seen this product from the Paula’s Choice (US) website for about a month before it finally reached the AU website, I waited for a good offer (free Hyaluronic Booster sample with every purchase over $100) and got a bottle plus a back-up bottle of my holy-grail 2% BHA liquid. The Niacinamide Booster was RRP AUD$67.00.

Paula’s Choice Resist 10% Niacinamide Booster

What I got: This is a 20ml bottle of Paula’s Choice Resist 10% Niacinamide Booster.  This concentrated 10% niacinamide (B3) booster visibly minimises pore size and helps to improve multiple signs of ageing.
  • Anti-Ageing, Enlarged Pores
  • For All Skin Types
  • Vitamin B3 helps reduce the look of pores
  • Antioxidants promote visibly even skin tone and texture
  • Light-as-water formula mixes into any serum or moisturiser

What makes this product unique?
The first widely available 10% niacinamide treatment, Resist 10% Niacinamide Booster is formulated specifically to address enlarged pores as well as other signs of ageing such as uneven skin tone. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and research has proven it can dramatically reduce the appearance of visibly enlarged pores and visibly reduce wrinkles. The light-as-water, fluid formula is designed to supercharge your favourite serum or moisturiser while soothing agents promote visibly calm skin. Additional antioxidants and skin-repairing ingredients make this product an absolute must-have treatment.

Who is this product for?
Resist 10% Niacinamide Booster is ideal for anyone looking to minimise the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, and wrinkles. It is especially beneficial for oily/blemish-prone skin.

How I find it: This booster is a cloudy watery liquid. It comes with the dropper and the bottle separate with a black plastic cap. Once you screw the dropper into the bottle, the restrictor will be locked in place to help avoid over-exposure of oxygen into the bottle. It is recommended to be used after cleansing, toning and exfoliating (AHA or BHA chemical exfoliant). You can mix it in with your usual serum or moisturiser or apply just by itself if you wish. I like to add it to something a little more viscous such as a thicker serum or my moisturiser because this is so liquid, it is easy to spill between my hands. I use about 2 drops for the entire face and if you want to you can use it in targeted areas only like your nose and cheeks where pores tends to be larger. For me, I have large pores pretty much everywhere except for my neck so I just apply all over anyway.

Overall: I am currently using Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid to help clean out my pores and teaming this Niacinamide to help reduce the size of my pores. The BHA helps keep my pores clean so that it doesn’t build up. This will help close up my pores and significantly reduce the look of them. I have tried a number of products that claims to reduce the size of pores, but they are not permanent. What they often do is draw out the impurities from the pores and let the pore try to close up. However, it doesn’t really work that way. The pore is opened up and dirt will get in again, that is why I use a BHA exfoliant daily to help get my pores cleaned out. After using this for at least 3 months (mainly during the day), I noticed that the pores around my cheeks, forehead and chin has significantly reduced. However, the pores on my nose seems quite stubborn. The reason I am using this during daytime only is because I use a vitamin c serum at night and Vitamin C reduces the efficacy of Niacinamide. I think this bottle should last me a good 6 months in total if I use this only at daytime.
