L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation in W3 Nude Beige

How I find it: I tested out the shades at my local Farmers and pharmacies before getting this online so I am quite confident that this is the best match for my skin tone from what they have to offer. I have been loving cushions lately for their sheer to medium coverage as well as their dewy/natural finish. The cushion compact came with a mirror and an applicator sponge. However, I like to use my own beauty blender with this foundation. So I dampen my sponge and dip right into the cushion and apply to my face. It is quite a nice sheer coverage that you can build up to a medium coverage. It blends out easily, but I do need to pay a bit more attention around my nose area and make sure it is blended in well. I would say it is moisturising/hydrating for my skin (I have combination oily skin) and the finish is rather dewy. I will need to set this with a translucent powder (using RCMA No Color Powder at the moment).

Overall: I have heard heaps of good reviews for this foundation and how natural the finish is and how good the coverage is. I love using a beauty blender to apply compared to the sponge applicator it came with (I usually won’t use that unless I am out and about with the compact for touch-ups). I love the coverage but would like the finish to be a little bit less dewy because it does feel like if I don’t set it, it will move and transfer. The shade selection is alright as I usually have no issues with selecting a correct shade with L’Oreal foundations.  Applying blush and highlighter over the foundation is pretty easy as long as I am using a powder blush/highlighter. If I use anything cream over this, I feel that it will move the foundation a little bit. Not the most long-lasting foundation out there especially for my oily area like my t-zone. It helps to set with powder and apply a makeup setting spray, but it does transfer a little.

Tell me what you think about this cushion foundation. How do you apply it? Do you set it with powder? Do you like it?
