Biossance The Nourisher

Where I got it: I ordered this from the Biossance website directly and was shipped to me via YouShop. The first time I heard of this brand was from Wendy’s Lookbook a while ago. I was a little put off because they did not ship to New Zealand. After a while, I see her post about this again and so did Chriselle from The Chriselle Factor. So I kept my eyes on it yet again. Not long after that, they had a BFF sale that they have never done before and it was a good 30% discount on all their products! So I grabbed it and got it shipped to me via YouShop. This is RRP USD$72.00 . If you sign-up to their newsletter, you get 10% off your first order!

Biossance The Nourisher

How I find it: After cleansing, I use a chemical exfoliant (Paula’s Choice 2% BHA liquid is my current favourite), then I use a serum. I have been trying to switch between using an oil before and after moisturiser and I find that my moisturiser and oil works better when I use the oil as the last step of my skincare routine. I use about 2-3 drops of The Nourisher all over my face and neck after my moisturiser. It seems to keep my moisturiser in place and seals in all the hydration throughout the night. The oil protects my skin throughout the night. I like to use The Nourisher at night time only because that is when I need it the most. During the day, I can stop at my daily moisturiser, but when I feel extra dry, I use 1-2 drops of this, wait until it is absorbed then I apply sunscreen.

Overall: I have been obsessed about facial oils at the moment ever since winter hit us in the southern hemisphere and possibly pregnancy hormones. I am trying a range of facial oils (Rosehip oil, Argan oil, Squalene, Rose oil, etc.) to look for a really amazing one. The Nourisher is really really good – it has a very slight fragrance and no colour at all. The texture of the oil is really light on the skin and is easily absorbed without leaving residue on the skin. I can go to bed pretty much straight away without feeling like my face is stuck onto the pillowcase. A really good skincare product that I will repurchase.
