Unboxing Lust Have It! April 2016

Where I got it: I was sent the April issue of Lust have it! subscription service. Lust have it is a subscription service providing beauty samples. For $19.90 each month, you will receive 5-6 deluxe sample sized beauty products where at least one of them will be full sized!

What I got: This is the April issue of the Lust have it! It came in a pink mesh bag with an information card. This month is is a mixture of makeup, hair care, and nail product with brands that are new to me and brands I have tried previously. Let’s take a look what’s inside this month’s bag/box!

Lust Have It! April 2016

How I find it:

Marsk Certified Organic Brow Liner (RRP$28.95 from www.marskcosmetics.com). Nothing is worse than bad eyebrows, which is why we designed the MARSK Certified Organic Brow Liners. Whether you are going for a stenciled look or a natural full arch, the MARSK Brow Liner will get you there smudge-free.

This brow liner is rather creamy, but the colour just isn’t right for me. It is too much of a reddish brown and it made my brows look really strange.

Soak Hair Shine Shampoo and Revive Conditioner (25ml trial size. RRP$24.95 for 500ml full size from www.soakskin.com). Hair Shine Shampoo is indused with Purple Kale that gently clenases to reveal natural shin and leave hair luminous. Hair Revive Conditioner, with Maca Root, infuses hair with moisture, maintaining shine and restoring lustre.

I have previously tried this shampoo and conditioner set. The shampoo is quite creamy and lathers up very well. However, I do feel that it strips my hair’s natural oil a little too much. Probably good for people who have oilier hair and scalp or who uses quite a bit of hair products. The conditioner is really nice. It moisturises but not greasy at all.

Personail Nail Polish Wraps (RRP$18.00 from www.personail.com). Can’t justify the follars associated wtih professional manisures? Or – even worse – sick of at-home jobs that end with you looking like you let a toddler loose on your hands with a tin of paint? No drying time, no smell and best of all – simple to apply! From the classic to the (fantastically) sparkly, there’s a design here for every nail.

Just tried this the other day and it was really easy to apply with no down-time for drying. I really love the design as I can apply a base colour underneathe or not. I can also use singles to create an accent nail design. It comes with a small orange stick to push the cuticles back and a small nail file to remove the excess nail wrap. No smell and no chemicals so I feel safe to use even when I’m pregnant. It is more long-lasting when you apply a top coat over it. Removal is easy with a usual nail polish remover.

Manna Kadar Fantasy 3-in-1 Blush Highlighter Eyeshadow (RRP$25) from www.mannakadarcosmetics.com). A pearlised powder blush, highlighter and eyeshadow. It has a special light and velvetlike texture which glides on smoothly and evenly to provide the perfect amount of colour for a healthy flow on your eyes, cheeks or desired areas for highlighting.

This is quite nice as an eyeshadow but probably too shimmery as a blush or highlighter. The pigmentation is good and the shade is quite nice. Minimal fallout and stays on the eyes very well.

Marsk Certified Organic Eyeliner in Snowflake (RRP$28.95 from www.marskcosmetics.com). Wear it all day and all night and they won’t slip off the eye. The added benefit with these wonderful liners is the delicious ingredients in them that have earned them in Organic certification.

I seldom fill in my waterline and I don’t think I will ever use a white eyeliner for my upper lashline as well. At first swatch, I thought it was a creamy white eyeliner, but when I swatched it again and looked in a different lighting, it is a dense shimmery white pencil that has a very slight iridescence to it. When I smudge it, it actually looks quite nice! I think I can make some use of this!  (and I thought I was going to give it away!)

Overall: Value for full-sized products comes to $100.90. However since the shade of some of the products do not suit me, this bag is more of a miss than a hit. I do love the nail polish wraps as they are so convenient and the design is just so cute!
