Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

Where I got it: I bought this from my local supermarket for $12.99. You should be able to find this from most supermarkets, Farmers, pharmacies, etc.

What I got: This is a 125g bottle of Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub. Got combination skin? This new easy-to-use, powder-to-foam formula with natural baking soda is effective at removing dirt and oil, but gentle on skin. Dial up or dial down this scrub’s intensity by adding water. pH balanced formula and is oil-free.

How I find it: With dry hands I dispense a small amount of this fine powder on the palm of my hands, add a small amount of water (to your personal preference depending on how scrubby you want) to the powder and use my other palm to mix the powder and water together. It instantly foams up between my palms and you can feel it! I apply the foam on my damp face and gentle massage. The powder dissolves pretty much instantly leaving really really fine particles to scrub the face. I use fingertips to gently massage the skin for about a minute of so the rinse off under running water.

Overall: I was really attracted to the packaging and the baking soda idea to help clean out pores because I’m all amount clearing them out lately and keeping them clean. So I like to use this 2-3 times a week in the evening. I like to use this in the shower simply because the formula gets a little slippery on the skin and can take a few good splashes or even running water to thorough remove it all. I guess that is the chemical reaction on baking soda? I was half expecting the scrub to bubble up crazy but it didn’t and I’m kind of glad it didn’t. After washing off my face feels clean but not too squeaky clean and dry. But if you feel dry after washing off, you may want to reduce frequency of using this product. It also smells slightly citrus-y which is great!
