Unboxing Lust have it September 2015

Where I got it: I was sent the September issue of Lust have it! subscription service. Lust have it is a subscription service providing beauty samples. For $19.90 each month, you will receive 5-6 deluxe sample sized beauty products where at least one of them will be full sized! This time the products came in a black mesh bag instead of a pink one! I might keep this one as it looks quite cool and discreet.

What I got: This is the September issue of the Lust have it! It comes in a blackmesh bag and a card containing all the information of the products in the box. This month is is a mixture of makeup, hair care, and ‘skin care’ with brands that are new to me and brands I have tried previously. Let’s take a look what’s inside this month’s bag/box!

White Glo Professional Choice Whitening Toothpaste (RRP$5.49 for 150ml from www.whiteglo.com). Rated most effective whitening toothpaste by a leading consumer trial. This formulation was originally developed for actors and models. With regular use, this will help restore your teeth’s glamorous shine giving you a radiant smile.

I don’t usually have a preference in toothpaste, but something to help with whitening, I’ve got my hands up! I brush twice a day and I don’t really have sensitive teeth or gums so I’ve never had any issues with my toothpaste. I don’t use a mouth wash regularly because I really don’t find that stuff very pleasant.

UB Cosmetics Tint Stick (RRP$23 from www.ubcosmetics.com). Promising you at least 10 hours of anti-feathering wear, this water-based formulation is transfer-proof and is infused with Vitamin B5 to provide that extra boost of hydration while Aloe Vera Extract to sooth the lips.

I swatched this on the back on my hand right when I got it because it just looks so interesting! It looks just like a felt tip marker and I was a little skeptical on how this will be on my lips and how this will be long lasting. It dried down almost instantly and it WOULD NOT BUDGE! I tried to remove it with water, with cleansing oil, cleansing water, face wash – no luck! I was a little freaked out to be honest… I had to wear it on the back of m hand for about 2 days before it entirely faded out! It is a little drying on the lips so I would apply a lip balm over it.

Ofra Lip Liner (RRP$19.50 from www.ofracosmetics.com.au). Water resistant pencil suitable for the most sensitive eye and lip areas. Created with a synthetic beesmax base for a smooth, soft and long lasting application.

Smooth and creamy lip liner that glides on easily on the lips. Sometimes I would wear a lip liner o fill my lips for a long lasting semi-matte finish but I hardly use a lip liner with my lipstick (no idea why…) This is a brownish shade that is not something that I would wear on a daily basis, but it would be great for a moody look or as a base for a darker lipstick colour.

Designer Brand Twist N Go Instant Nail Polish Remover & Primer (RRP$4.99 from www.dbcosmetics.com.au). The winner of a coveted Glosscar in 2014, Twist n Go Instant Nail Polish Remover is a DB top seller! The Twist n Go removes polish in 1 second. SImply dip and wist to instantly remove even the most stubborn nail polish. Formulated with Royal Jelly, Vitamin C & E, Aloe Vera and Green Tea. Contains to phthalates and triclosan.

This is a bottle with a sponge soaked in nail polish remover! What you do is dip your painted nails in the sponge and give it a few twists and turns until your nail polish is all removed. I personally haven’t tried this because I haven’t been using nail polish for God knows how long (I stopped wearing any polish when I was pregnant and have not after my son was born 16 months ago!). I gave it to my mother in law as she was looking to buy a nail polish remover.  It seems quite handy and I did read about it somewhere that these are great for removing those stubborn glitter nail polishes (ARGH!). But I do wonder if the next time I dip my finger in there, will the previous colour

Kerastase Resistance Bain Force Architecte and Masque (RRP$42 for 250ml shampoo, $62 for 200ml masque). Repair and rejuvenate dry and damaged hair with the Resistance line form Kerastase.

I love Kerastase hair products, but they are just too expensive for my budget! I have previously used their orange/yellow range for damaged hair and have also used a serum from this Resistance range and I loved them to bits! They smell amazing and a little does go a long way and it really does make a difference for my hair. This small sample bottle and pottle only lasted me about 3 washes as I have long hair. I love the shampoo but the masque didn’t seem to do much for my hair. I suppose I need to use it for longer to see some changes. I would say that I am looking online to buy some Kerastase hair products even if they are on the pricer side compared to supermarket brands. Hair is quite an important feature on the face and if I take good care of it, it would make me look better as well. So it is an investment I suppose.

Your Tea Skin Magic Tea (RRP$35 for box of 60 from www.skinjoga.in). Helps to nourish and rejuvenate the skin, meaning not only does it go to work on feeding you skin but equally to hydrate, clear heat (think cystic, sore pimples) and drain away any inflammation.

It is individually wrapped with a tag for the tea bag. I steeped this in hot water for at least 5 minutes and drank it while it was hot but drinkable. It tastes quite ordinary, not sharp or tart tastes. I do believe in drinking teas or herbal teas to help regulate, detox and even cleanse the body, but you will need to be drinking this for the long term and have a healthy diet and exercise to help out. Drinking tea by itself will not do everything for you. However, this tea is quite pricey so I will probably stick with my Redseal Hot & Cold Brew teas and my chinese Jasmine Green Tea.

Overall: This month’s bag is an interesting mix without any skincare product, but I do like the Kerastase shampoo and masque as well as the toothpaste to be honest. The lip tint is quite cool, but I find that a little drying on my lips. With the full sized products (lip tint, lip liner and nail polish remover) it is already $4.49 value. With the addition of the deluxe sample sized products I am sure it will pass $55 value! Now I am looking for good deals with Kerastase hair products!
