Lancôme Miracle Cushion

Where I got it: I was sent this for consideration. This will be out at all Lancôme counters nationwide from 25th August 2015. RRP $69.00. Comes in 4 different shades.

What I got: I was sent the NEW Lancôme Miracle Cushion in shade 04 Beige Miel (which is an equivalent shade to the Teint Miracle 045, 05 and 055). In a nutshell, Miracle Cushion is a liquid cushion compact, that provides dewy hydration, absolute weightlessness and glow. This is the first Lancôme cushion with a remarkable formula – it is infused with fluid make-up to create a fresh-faced healthy glow. The Cushion is a unique airy format that is soft and bouncy – oxygenated by thousands of little air holes, it contains a significant amount of fluid, releasing just the right does for each application. It always comes over evenly and is ultra-light.  As silky as a serum, the formula is concentrated in water and enriched with volatile oils acting as a source of moisture and freshness.  It comes with its ground-breaking pad applicator. This specifically developed smooth disc is a pad like no other – made from polyurethane, its delicate structure holds just the right does at its surface meaning only the correct amount will ever be released for application.

More benefits of the Miracle Cushion includes: the power of light where pine needle extracts helps with pigmentation; moisturising duo for 4-hour hydrating action; visibly smoother skin with polymer’s gel texture to create great coverage with blur effect; visibly younger skin from the anti-wrinkle properties; and lastly photo-protection with SPF23/PA++

Shade match: 01 Pure Porcelaine = Teint Miracle 01, 02 Beige Rose = Teint Miracle 02, 03 Beige Peche = Teint Miracle 03 and 035, 04 Beige Miel = Teint Miracle 045, 05 and 055.

Lancôme Miracle Cushion in shade 04

How I find it: After moisturising, I usually would put on my sunscreen or a primer with SPF. I usually use at least SPF 30/PA+++ for my sunscreen, but since I work in an office and a decent distance from the window (tinted), plus my car drive is <30mins each day I can go with SPF28. I have tried using this with and without a primer and it does make a difference especially when I use a oil-controlling primer to help with oil-production. I like to use this lightly with patting motion to create a even and light coverage. It feels lightweight and dry to the touch. It gives a natural finish to give the skin a nice healthy look – not too luminous so that the skin looks moist and not too matte that the skin looks flat. I use one layer of this and I use a light translucent powder over my t-zone areas to help set it.

Overall: I find that using a oil-control primer or a correcting primer helps because this compact does not provide oil-control or skin-tone corrections. I would say the coverage is light buildable to a medium coverage. It feels cool and refreshing on skin contact. I really love this compact, the light coverage and the feeling on the skin. I can wear this everyday and not feel that I am giving my skin burden because I feel that my skin can breathe! When I am no opting for high performance and high oil-control foundation, this is what I will go for even though I can actually go for one shade lighter. 🙂  This will be great for summer, I just need to powder over my oily areas. Try this cushion texture out at a Lancome counter now, its pretty interesting!
