Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Eye Treatment

Where I go it: I was sent this for consideration. This is available from all Clinique counters and online at www.smithandcaugheys.co.nz for RRP$95.00 from 17th August 2015.

What I got: This is a 15ml bottle of Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Eye Treatment. The NEW Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Eye Treatment is an advanced eye treatment that visibly brightens, lifts, smoothes crepiness, and diminishes find lines and crow’s feet. Plus a boost of hydration helps repair dehydrated skin, which is susceptible to cellular damage. Utilising “smart” technology, the eye treatment is fortified with a cocktail of potent ingredients that help to keep skin calm, comfortable and receptive to ingredient benefits.

The eye treatment also eases inflammation. With 2 particular extracts (Cladosiphon Okamuranus and Algae extract), one is a seaweed extract, and the latter a botanical extract, they are both anti-irritant agents, perfect for soothing and calming the skin around the eye area. It also contants Hydrolysed Rice Protein, Grape Seed Extract and Sodium RNA to support skin’s natural  repair process helping to eradicate the appearance of damage caused by stress, UV and other harmful assults. Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12 and Whey Protein helps stimulate natural collagen production to plump the skin and helps to diminish fine lines and wrinkles. And the list of extracts and ingredients goes on to provide radiance and hydration goes on!

Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Eye Treatment

How I find it: I usually apply eye cream or eye serum after cleansing and toning before any of my facial serums and moisturisers, simply because during the day I usually apply something with SPF and I like to have my SPF on top of any serums/moisturisers, including my eye product. I use a very small amount of this eye treatment (about half a pump) and just with my index finger, I pat it on around my eye area and gently massage it without tugging and rubbing. Usually I would just use my fingers and that’s it. When I have time, I will use my Hitachi Hada Crie Hot&Cool Facial Massager and use the cooling mode to gently press the eye area to give me a bit of lift and tighten.

Overall: This eye treatment has a creamy, yet light texture. It provides hydration and moisture to the eye area without feeling greasy or heavy on the eye area. Absorbs quickly with a very slight hint of glow to brighten the eye area. Have been using this day and night for about 2 weeks now, my eye area feels soft and smooth, no clogged pores. However, the fine lines, dark circles will need much more time to see results (my eye bags are not puffy so I cannot comment on that department). I think this eye treatment is suitable for oily to normal skin, a little to the dry skin as well but some people do prefer a much thicker eye cream around the eye area. Would be suitable for people in their 20-30s I think who don’t have much wrinkles, but are developing fine lines and needs brightening around the eye area.
