Lust have it! January

Where I go it: Sorry for the late post, but I was sent this for consideration sometime in February and they have sent it to my old place (I only check once every 2-3 weeks). I have since asked them to update my details, but they have yet to deliver it to my new address. Hopefully next time they will get that right and I can post the review earlier!

What I got: This is the Lust have it! January edition. This bag contains 6 items , 4 of them are makeup, 1 is a body lotion and a nail polish. All products are full size. Total value of the products are $101.89, not including the vouchers.

Colour by TBN (Fluoro) ($2.50)  Color by TBN Nail Polish is salon-quality nail polish that is scratch-proof, quick to dry and comes in various high-quality vibrant shades. It’s housed in a thick bottle with a black cap for easy application. Unfortunately, I don’t apply nail polish nowadays since looking after my baby, he bites my finger and I simply don’t have much time to paint them and wait for them to dry. So I gave this away to a colleague at work. This is a fluorescent orange shade which is nto something I would wear anyway. However, I have seen it on my colleague and the colour is very vibrant and no streaks at all!

Urban Skincare Co. Infuse Body Balm ($12.95 for 100ml). Deeply moisturising, this body balm is readily absorbed, effectively binding moisture to the skin, hydrating and nourishing without leaving a greasy residue. After cleansing, pour a small amount of Infuse Body Balm onto hands. Focusing on dry areas, gently rub lotion onto body and repeat as required. This small little tube of body balm is rather fluid in consistency (similar to another body balm by Urban Skincare Co I reviewed in a previous edition). Moisturising, and not heavy on the skin. However, I don’t agree on it’s name – balm. Its more of a lotion.

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in Mud Cake ($24.95). 100% natural, mineral based loose powder that are strictly cruelty free and available in a range of striking shades that offer endless colour possibilities for a professional makeup effect. I seldom use loose mineral eyeshadow, so I gave this away as well. The shade is a dark brown with green iridescent.

Marsk Certified Organic Eyeliner in Pitch Black ($33.50). Can be worn all day and all night and won’t slip off the eye. The eyeliner is creamy and soft but unfortunately is not waterproof. I have oily eyelids so after about 4 hours it starts to melt, fade and transfer to my lower eye area.

Beaubox Wonder Powder – Nearly Nude ($20.00). Reduce imperfections and give your skin a radiant luminous glow with Wonder Powder Intuitive Mineral Powder. Formulated with skin-compatible minerals, this amazing skin-loving powder foundation is “intuitively” designed to create a natural dimensional finish that allows your skin to look its best without overpowering it.

(BONUS product) Designer Brand Chubby Lipstick Crayon ($7.99). This lipstick crayon ensure precise lipstick application. The crayon features a wind-up pencil applicator. It is formulated with cocoa butter and vitamin E extracts, leaving the lips smooth and soft. Available in four shades. I was sent Kiss & Tell. The crayon is very pigmented and it is a pretty red/pink shade. The formula is quite creamy and it glides of effortlessly and leaves a hint of glossiness to the lips.

Overall: This bag is pretty much all makeup except for the body balm. Personally not too impressed because 1. There are many items I don’t use anyway, 2. There are no skincare and I love skincare! (sad) it contains a couple of coupons and offers on little cards, but they are available in Australia only so that socks for us in New Zealand. The value is over and much over the cost of the bag, however I personally wouldn’t pay full price for these products except for the name polish. Hopefully thenext bag will be better.
