Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant

Where I got it: I was sent this from Dermalogica (thank you Luci!). You can purchase Dermalogica products from their website www.dermalogica.co.nz or at Dermalogica counters. This retails for $88.00.

What I got: This is a 75ml tube of Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant in the Age Smart series. This heat-activated scrub is a powerful skin polisher that combines physical and chemical exfoliants to refine skin texture, enhance penetration of age-fighting vitamins into skin, and reveal smoother, fresher skin immediately.

How I find it: This exfoliant can be used on wet skin or dry skin for amazing results. After cleansing I would use squeeze the product onto my palm and then spread it over my face with fingertips. If I use it on wet skin, the product will heat up on contact with water, then wash off. If I use it dry, I will use a little bit more product because I don’t have the water to help spread the product around and I will probably end up rubbing too hard on my skin. On dry skin, the exfoliating particles feels more abrasives, like a micro-dermabrasion. When I wash off the product, it will heat up on contact with water. You can feel your skin smoother while washing off the exfoliant!

Overall: Pretty awesome stuff! This product is a combination of chemical and physical exfoliants so it can be a bit harsh on sensitive skin (best to try some samples before purchase). It works great on me and I have combination/oily skin with acne scarring and bumpy parts around my chin area. If you are looking for instant silky smooth skin, I would definitely give this a try. If you have sensitive skin or active acne breakouts, I would recommend using it wet about once a week as it is more gentle (also avoid massaging on breakouts). I use this twice a week if wet, or once a week if dry. I love using this before my Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Masque to remove all dead skin cells so my hydrating mask can achieve the best results. If you are opting for a more gentle daily exfoliant, you should try the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant.
