Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser

Where I got it: I got this on ebay for USD$20.44. Unfortunately it is not available at Farmers or pharmacies.

What I got: This is Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in 120 Light. I have seen so many beauty vloggers on Youtube talking about this – it is the holy grail for many beauty gurus so I am so excited to try this! This is a concealor designed for concealing dark circles under the eye area hence it has a moisturising formula and a small sponge-tip applicator. I have seen many people apply this directly to their eye area in an upside down triangle shape and used this to brighten their undereye area as well. I thought I would go for the light colour since it is a concealor, and the shade is pretty good as a concealor and highlighter for me.

How I find it: After applying foundation or BB cream, I give this a few twists (the product doesn’t come oozing out of the sponge-tip, but as you apply it, you will see the products). and then apply directly across my dark circles, and a bit lower to my cheeks to draw 2 upside down triangles. Then I blend that out with my fingertip (Beauty Blender is also commonly used). Then I set that with my favourite Rimmel Stay Matte powder.

Overall: The shade is perfect for concealing my under eye dark circles as well as brightening my under eye area. After this concealor, I can see a big difference where I look more awake, but not raccoon-like. However, the hygiene of this applicator makes it a little off-putting and also it does sink into my lines a little even if I do powder over it. With the moisturising formulation, I don’t see much caking and it doesn’t accentuate my fine lines at all. I really quite like it. I could wear this by itself without foundation or BB cream then conceal any blemishes with a less moisturising concealor. I think they have a brightening shade that I am very interested to find out more and try out as well!

Have you tried this concealor? Do you like it?
