What I got : I got this from the spin-the-wheel offer on Garnier’s Facebook page. This is available from supermarkets nationwide for RRP$9.99.

What I got : This is a 50ml tube of Garnier Moisture Match Mattifying Fresh Cream for oily skin. Each of Garnier’s moisturiser from the Moisture Match range is formulated with a specialised texture and this Fresh Cream one has a mattifying fresh texture that is oil free and quick to absorb. It is enriched with Green Tea extract to provide antioxidant, “Shine Be Gone” will leave your skin feeling smooth and matte all day long.image

How I find it: I apply this moisturiser after cleansing, toning and serum. I would use this on a day I don’t feel that my skin is too dry because this light textured cream provides a light to medium amount of moisture to the skin. If I am having a dry skin day or with dry patches, I would reach for something much more moisturising. This does not contain SPF so you need to use one on top whether it is your bb cream, foundation or a sunscreen. The formula of this cream does not interfere with other makeup products and it doesn’t give off eraser-shedding like rub offs. It’s texture is really interesting as it doesn’t look like a smooth cream, rather it looks a bit gritty. On the skin, once you spread it, it looks like a silky mattifying primer but that will melt in a couple of seconds.image

Overall: This moisturiser has a very interesting texture – almost look like a a semi-frozen slushy at the photo above. It feels fresh and mattifying as it claims. The scent is fresh and the cream is not sticky at all, quick to absorb. However the mattifying effect and longevity of the mattifying effect is not very good. For me with combination/oily skin during summer and combination/normal skin during winter I don’t think it will be such an effective mattifying product during summer. However, it does provide moisture to the skin so that it is different to the common mattifying moisturisers that tends to over-dry the skin making it even more oily.
