Ulta3 makeup

Where I got it: I was at the Heat Group PR launch event for the launch of MUD cosmetics and Ulta3 cosmetics – view my post here. Ulta3 makeup is available at selected pharmacies with the price range from $4.00 to $14.95.

What I got: The goodie bag came with the following: 5 nail colours, a lipstick, a brow pencil, a pencil eyeliner, a pressed powder, a powder blush and a CC cream.

What I got:

Nail Colour RRP$4.00: Ulta3 prides itself on its extensive range of nail polishes. The enamel is salon quality and long-lasting. Featuring every colour from classics to neutrals, manicure shades to this season’s vibrant hues; the collection offers 80 shades in total, including a Base Coat. Available in a variety of shades. I have this in Sizzling Red, Dahlia, Fruit Tingle and Spring Break. They come in an ordinary glass bottle with a screw white bottle cap and a normal width brush. Use a base coat to prevent staining, then apply 2 layers to achieve the best results, make sure you wait for each coat to dry. Then apply a top coat.

Moisturising Lipstick RRP$6.95: Ulta3 Moisturising Lipstick provides rich, velvety colour to lips while also locking moisture in, keeping them hydrated for longer. Team with Ulta3 Lip Liner to accentuate colour and prevent bleeding. Available in over 40 shades. The packaging is quite sleek and the bottom of the bullet is the shade of the lipstick itself. Pigment is really good and quite moisturising! Slight gloss to the lipstick and it is not drying at all. Very comfortable to wear and even though it is not very long lasting, it doesn’t sink into my lines or feather off around my lips.

Eyeliner and Brow Pencil RRP$5.45: The pencil eyeliner I got is in the shade brown and comes with a clear cap. The pencil is a bit soft and very pigmented. I usually don’t use pencil liners because they tend to smudge easily, but I have found that if I don’t put it on my waterline, it won’t smudge that easily. As for the brow pencil, it is also in brown and comes with a clear cap with a brush (Available in Black, Brown and Blonde). The formula is very much similar to the pencil eyeliner, it is rather soft and pigmented which can be a little difficult to control and can easily go overboard. Stays on my brows for the whole day.

Pressed Powder RRP$8.95: A lightweight, silky pressed powder to keep make-up looking fresh all day. Ulta3 Pressed Powder compliments Ulta3 Liquid Foundation and is best applied with a brush to set make-up. Available in Champagne, Crème Beige and Natural Beige. This pressed powder shade is quite suitable for my skintone and since it goes on quite sheer so it doesn’t really matter. The powder is quite fine but a little hard to pick up with the brush. With a good swirl and tapping off the excess, it sets my makeup without adding much colour.

Powder Blush RRP$8.95: A silky pressed powder to highlight and contour cheekbones for a hint of glow or sun-kissed shimmer. Ulta3 Blush is available in Brandywine (pink), Deeptone (peachy brown) and Cashmere. This blush is not very pigmented when I tried to swatch it on my fingers, therefore you will need to build it up. This shade is easy to use and looks pretty natural.

CC Cream Hydrating Colour Corrector SPF30 in Medium to Dark $11.95: Obviously this is too dark on my skin so I haven’t tried it. But it is suppose to be a primer, foundation, moisturiser and a sunscreen. It is more like a bb cream rather than a CC cream I think as it doesn’t have much color-correcting properties in it. However, on the hands, the CC cream feels easy to apply, moisturising with a natural finish.

Overall : The Ulta3 products are quite affordable, but my favorite would be their nail polish range. They are so vibrant! My next pick would be their lipstick, they are moisturising and very pigmented!
