The MUD range will be available exclusively at Countdown supermarket nationwide from 20th May. They are super affordable with the price range from $5 to $11 – easy to pick up during your grocery trip! MUD (Make-Up Design) is a brand created exclusively for Woolworths in Australia is now being launched in New Zealand is over 120 Countdowns nationwide. They take inspiration from the latest beauty trends, and make the best seasonal colours and on-trend looks very affordable with their products.

What I got:

Nail polish RRP$5.00: I have the shades ‘nudely now’ and ‘Pixie Dust’. Nudely now is a lovely creamy nude beige colour and Pixie Dust is a silver sparkle in a clear base.

Gel eyeliner RRP$11.00: This black gel eyeliner comes in a small plastic pot with a lid that turns into the eyeliner brush. The formula is really smooth in the pot and the eyeliner brush has the perfect firmness for a smooth application. The gel is very pigmented and dries down pretty fast after application. It does not transfer easily or create lumps at all. I dip the brush into the gel to pick up the product, then I wipe off the excess on the back of my hand and also to make the brush tip flat. Then I draw my eyeliner from the middle to the ends, then from the inside out to the middle. There is no fall-out and it lasts pretty much the whole day without running for my oily eyelids! Wonderful product at such a great price! LOVE THIS!

Lipstick RRP$ 7.00: This slimline lipstick comes with a clear cap so you can easily see the shade. The formula is pretty pigmented, it is quite moisturising on the lips and has a glossy finish to it. This is not a creamy formula so you can build up the shade from a sheer red to a bright solid red. The swatch below is about 2-3 layers, but my phone camera doesn’t really do the red shade justice. It is more of a true red that will make my teeth whiter and my skin fairer which I love! The longevity of the lipstick is not very high as it is not really designed to be a long-wearing lipstick. Lovely moisturising formula and not heavy to wear at all. Will not sink into my dry patches or lines – fantastic! Would love to try out more colours!

Eyeshadow trio RRP$ 9.00: I have this in In The Nude and Urban Basics. With 3 shades in each palette, there is an overall shade which is the large one, then there are 2 accent shades which looks great when used together. The shades are a little shimmery, but not sparkly. The colours are really easy to wear for all skin tone and eye colour, but I would say that the pigmentation is not that great.

Overall: The range is really affordable and for the price, I would say the products are pretty good – especially the gel liner and the lipstick. Have a look at the range at Countdown!
