Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner

Where I got it: I got it from the local supermarket (I went to New World this time) and got this for about $9.60.

What I got: This is a 400ml bottle of Nivea’s new In-shower body lotion skin conditioner for Normal to dry skin. This is rather interesting but it is not the first of its kind (My first body conditioner was LUSH’s Ro’s Argan). It is a new way to moisturise your skin where you use this in the shower after you cleanse your skin (shower gel, body wash, etc.). Interested? Read on!image

How I find it: After using my body wash or shower gel (sometimes I use my Weleda body wash, sometimes the LUSH Grass shower gel), I wash off and the apply a equal amount of this Nivea Body Conditioner all over my body while it is wet. It does not foam up, I can feel that it is moisturising and silky, then rinse off and dry myself as normal.

Overall: Great idea and the conditioner smells amazing. I love the smell and the feeling on the skin. Very important thing is not to use it on dry skin – I tried on the back of my hand, and the conditioner did not wash off my hand. One main ingredient in this body conditioner is paraffin which is like wax. If this conditioner is used on dry skin, the residue (if you like) will stick to your skin like wax/oil. If used with water (and the right amount of conditioner) a less amount will stick to your skin (a small amount sticks to your skin to give you that moisturised, silky feeling). I avoid using this on my chest and back because I can be prone to breaking out and this formula feels a little pore-clogging (I might need to find more info). Oh, also clean your shower floor if you use this everyday.. it can build up and be a slippery hazard.
